Why Pilates?

While we could go on and on about what we love about Pilates, we boiled it down to a couple of points.

  • Pilates is Personal.  It's not about getting the most reps in, or lifting the heaviest weight.  It's a constant dance with yourself, and a tool to reconnect with your body.

  • Pilates is low impact.  Weather you're recovering from an injury, postpartum, or simply just trying to move better, Pilates might be just what you were looking for!

  • Pilates is evolving.  While we will always love a classical mat flow, we also are excited to bring more modern approach through our fusion classes.

Meet Amara

Amara is the founder and lead instructor for Ember Pilates. She has over ten years of teaching experience, and is certified through Power Pilates.  Amara is excited to bring Pilates to the Vancouver community!

Meet Marissa

Marissa is a mat Pilates instructor certified through Balanced Body.  Marissa loves utilizing Pilates as cross training for her other hobbies- power lifting and horse back riding!  From gym bros to horse girls, Marissa will have all the bases covered!
